SAJA 2013 Internship Fund - Summer

APPLICATION DEADLINE: 11:59 p.m. EST, Saturday, June 1, 2013.

Start your online application by registering here. To complete your application, email secretary@saja.org with the following supporting materials:

1. A copy of your offer letter.

2. A copy of your resume.

3. Attachments or links to 3-5 clips.

4. Answers to the following questions (300 words or less each):

a. What has driven your interest in SAJA, South Asia or the diaspora?
b. How have you been involved with SAJA thus far?
c. Detail the expenses you will incur to pursue this internship.
d. Detail your financial need for this grant.
e. Detail any other sources of funding you are receiving for this internship.

Incomplete or late applications will not be considered.

SAJA Comes to ABC News (Friday, May 31, 2013)

Here's a chance to get an exclusive behind the scenes look at ABC News!

Join fellow SAJA members as ABC News producers will give us a newsroom tour around the ABC studios.

Also, have your resume critiqued by ABC News recruiters!

Followed by Q & A with Emmy award-winning anchor and correspondent David Muir - weekend host of "World News with David Muir" & Co-Anchor for "20/20".

Finally, SAJA members will watch the live national newscast of "World News Tonight" from the floor above David Muir's anchor desk overlooking the set!

SAJA/AAJA Career Fair & Expo - Friday Aug 23 (Friday, August 23, 2013)

SAJA will be having its job fair in conjunction with the AAJA (Asian American Journalists Association) National convention this summer at the Hilton New York in Midtown Manhattan.

SAJA members will have a special one day rate on Friday August 23, 2013 with complete access to the job fair as well as workshops, panel discussions, and AAJA's silent auction later that night.

Job Fair: Here's your chance to meet and connect with representatives from national major media companies as they will be converging in New York City at the AAJA Convention.

Workshops/Panels: Attend and participate discussions about the latest stories making news today and new skills to learn and perfect in the newsroom.

Also, get a chance to mingle and network with AAJA members from across the country.

Those interested in attending the full AAJA National Convention from Wednesday Aug 21st- Saturday Aug 24th can get a SAJA discount rate as well.
