Profile of a SAJAer: Satnam Singh Chahal Editor Satnam Singh Chahal was born on March 15, 1950, in Village Jallowal Madhopur, District Kapurthala, in Punjab, India. He has been working as freelance journalist since 1972 and is also a former human rights activist. He is a former chief editor of Sach-Da-Paigam (Message of Truth) monthly Punjabi magazine in India. Currently, he is the resident editor of Quamiekta weekly newspaper in California. He has a small but lovely family: Satinder Kaur (wife); Sandeep Singh Chahal (son); Mandeep Kaur (daughter); Rupinder Kaur Chahal (daugher-in-law). Chahal serves as a commissioner in Santa Clara County and City of Milpitas in California.
