DALJIT DHALIWAL is a former anchor of ITN's celebrated World News for Public Television from London, which, until late 2001, was seen on 100 PBS stations in the US as well as over the Internet.

She was named one of People magazine's "50 Most Beautiful People in the World" in 1999. In August 1999, Esquire named her one of the magazine's "Women We Love."

Daljit earned an MA in politics, history, and economics from the University of London. Starting as a reporter at the BBC in 1990, covering Northern Ireland, she went on to work at ITN in 1995.

She was born in London, her parents having emigrated from India, and is one of four children.
