Join SAJA-NYC on Tuesday, March 7, for a talk with film curator and journalist Meenakshi Shedde, who will deliver a lively, illustrated lecture on cutting-edge Bollywood and indie Indian films in regional languages. A Q/A session will follow.

About the speaker:
Meenakshi Shedde is an Indian film curator, journalist and film critic based in Mumbai. She is India Consultant to the Berlin and Dubai Film Festivals. She has been India/Asia Curator/Consultant to festivals worldwide, including the Toronto, Locarno, Pusan, International Film Festival of India (IFFI-Goa) and Mumbai Film Festivals. She was India Consultant on the Raj Kapoor and the Golden Age of Indian Cinema retrospective for the Toronto International Film Festival’s Bell Light Box, that also showed at MoMA, New York, in January 2012. Winner of the Indian National Award for Best Film Critic, she freelances for media worldwide, including
Variety, Film Comment, Cineaste, Screen International and Cahiers du Cinema
