Join SAJA-NYC as we celebrate the book launch of award-winning reporter and writer Sonia Faleiro's "Beautiful Thing: Inside the Secret World of Bombay's Dance Bars."

About Beautiful Thing:
Already published in India and the UK to great acclaim and named an Observer, Guardian, and Economist Book of the Year, Beautiful Thing is an expose of Bombay's notorious sex industry.
It makes its American debut on March 6; in a starred review Kirkus describes the book as an "international sensation and rightfully so."

Sonia Faleiro is an
award-winning reporter and author. She writes The Other India column on India’s
marginalized communities and sub-cultures for The New York Times’
India Ink. She has spoken about India's
marginalized on NPR's All Things Considered and Tell Me More, at TedX Amsterdam
Women 2011, and the XVII International AIDS Conference in Mexico City. She
lives between Mumbai and San Francisco.
