    Description:

    Gannett Government Media is seeking an experienced multimedia journalist, skilled in producing Web and video features. Must have a track record of conceiving and producing special Web projects, with an emphasis on combining text graphics and photos. Should be skilled in Photoshop, Flash, Dreamweaver, HTML, CSS and PHP. Must also be able to help maintain social media activities on our Web sites as well as discussion boards.
     

    The successful candidate will also have a demonstrated ability to produce original video stories for the Web. The position requires excellent writing and narration skills for short-format (average: 2 minutes) online videos covering the military, federal government and other agencies and individuals, as assigned. Good shooting and video-editing skills are essential. Fluency in Adobe Premiere and the ability to shoot on a variety of cameras is a must.  The candidate should also have strong organizational and time-management skills and solid news judgment to complete multiple projects a week. Must have the ability to maintain relationships with sources to cultivate original stories.
       

    Minimum two years experience. Past government or military experience a plus but not necessary.
