The McClatchy Company is seeking a full-time creative, digitally-savvy journalist to cover China for its 30 newspapers in the United States. It is expected that your stories will capture the essence of Chinese culture, the dynamism of the Chinese economy, and the power struggles and policy decisions of the central government. Photographic and video skills preferred. The successful candidate should have a colorful and dramatic writing flair and be adept at social media. Fluency in Mandarin is not required but preferred. Our bureau chief must be capable of managing bureau expenses at or under budget.
