"I am very greedy about writing!" grins Radhika Sharma. It's almost like she is trying to make up for lost time. A freelance writer based in Milpitas, California, Radhika puzzles over why she meandered through a Bachelor's in Biochemistry, an MBA and a short stint in advertising before realizing that writing was her true calling.
At present, she is back to writing with renewed vigor after a five-month practical training internship on "Forum," KQED FM's public affairs program hosted by Michael Krasny. Her take on the internship? "Radio has been great fun, but most importantly, it helped me look at my decision to write in a new light." Nevertheless the sound waves have found a new fan and she hopes to chip-in with her share.
Publications that have featured her work in the U.S. include: The San Francisco Chronicle, The San Jose Mercury News, Little India, Poor Mojo's Almanac and India Currents.
In India, she worked on a regular basis with the Times of India, Jaipur, for about three years. Her work included about 60-plus features for The Times of India and The Economic Times on a wide variety of topics ranging from business essays and travel-writings to book-reviews and musings on theater.
