ANUPY SINGLA is an agricultural commodities reporter for Bloomberg News in Chicago. She moved to the windy city in December after spending a year on Bloomberg's general assignment desk in Princeton and working as an Asian news producer for the company's multimedia department. Anupy also has an interest in broadcast journalism and was Saturday news anchor for TV Asia while in New Jersey. She holds a masters degree in Japanese Studies from the East West Center and University of Hawaii and a bachelors in International Relations. She has also studied broadcast journalism at Columbia's Gradua School of Journalism. Anupy spent the first few years after college as a legislative aide to a senior member of Congress. An active member of the South Asian Journalists Association, she coordinates the new Midwest chapter and has twice served as emcee of the gala dinner at the annual SAJA Convention.
