While an
undergrad at Penn State, Sweeny Murti interned at the FAN. After earning
a degree in Communications, Sweeny worked at radio stations in Pennsylvania
before returning to the FAN full time in 1998. He currently handled News20/20
updates during the overnights. Best On-Air
Experience: A three-week stint as host of the Phillies pre and postgame
radio show in 1999…working with broadcasters I grew up listening to, covering
the team I’ve cheered for my whole life. Funniest
On-Air Experience: Sitting next to Joe Benigno after every Jets, Mets,
Knicks and Rangers loss…those monologues (rants) are priceless. Favorite

is the New York Yankees reporter at WFAN Radio, starting with Spring Training
2001. He will be on the air several times a day all through the season talking
about the team and feeding reports and interviews -- and will be at all
the games, home and away.
