WUWM 89.7 - Milwaukee's NPR, a department of UW-Milwaukee and an NPR member station, offers an exciting and creative work environment. WUWM looks for dedicated people who are ready for a challenge.

    THE STATION:

WUWM is a growing station with an award-winning newsroom and a commitment to Public Media for All’s DEI initiatives. We have a team of about 35 with offices located on the Riverwalk in the heart of downtown Milwaukee. Our offices are an easy walk (or short drive) to Lake Michigan beaches, cultural destinations, the Milwaukee Bucks arena, and Summerfest, which bills itself as the “World’s Largest Music Festival.”

    MORE ABOUT THE AREA:

Milwaukee is Wisconsin’s largest city, with a metro area of about 1.5 million. The region features distinct neighborhoods with their own character, an extensive county parks system, a thriving restaurant scene, dog parks, local coffee roasters, the Harley-Davidson Museum, America’s Black Holocaust Museum (reopening February 2022), an annual film festival, the Milwaukee Brewers, Potawatomi Bingo Casino and more. If you like to travel, the state has beautiful destinations with lots to see and do, including numerous state parks, Door County, Wisconsin Dells and the wooded and lake-rich region of northern Wisconsin. Chicago is about a two-hour drive away (a ride of about 90 minutes by train).
