SAJA will be hosting an Iftar (breaking of the fast) on July 8th at 7:00 p.m. at the Manhattan Penthouse, off 5th Ave.

We will be chatting with pioneer broadcast journalist, Tom Bettag and the producer for Al Jazeera America’s “Fault Lines,” Laila Al-Arian about their work in media. Lalia will be showing clips from her Peabody Award-winning story "Made in Bangladesh."

Tom Bettag was the former executive producer for the CBS Evening News with Dan Rather from 1986 to 1991 and executive producer of Nightline from 1991 to 2005, and now an NBC News producer.

Break bread, network, and connect with other journalists, producers, writers, and correspondents from various parts of the media world.

Doors will open at 7:00 p.m. and come early to take photos of the great views of the New York City skyline.

More details of speakers will be announced so be sure to buy your tickets early!
